About the event
"Porco Rosso" is a 1992 animated film directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. Set in the 1920s, the story follows an Italian World War I fighter ace named Marco Pagot, who has been transformed into an anthropomorphic pig due to a mysterious curse. Living in the Adriatic Sea, he works as a bounty hunter, capturing air pirates who threaten the safety of travelers.
Porco, as he is known, is a cynical yet charming character, grappling with his past and the horrors of war. His life takes a turn when he encounters a young and talented aircraft mechanic named Fio Piccolo, who helps him repair his plane after a battle with a group of American pilots led by the charming Donald Curtis.
