"Willard" is a psychological horror film that follows the life of Willard Stiles, a socially awkward and isolated young man played by Crispin Glover. Living in a decaying family home, Willard struggles with the recent death of his father and the burden of maintaining the family's failing business. His life takes a dark turn when he discovers a unique bond with a group of rats that he begins to train and control.
As Willard develops a close relationship with a particularly intelligent rat named Ben, he finds solace and companionship in the creatures that others fear. However, his connection to the rats becomes increasingly sinister as he uses them to exact revenge on those who have wronged him, including his cruel boss and bullying neighbors. The film explores themes of loneliness, revenge, and the blurred lines between sanity and madness.
